Marelee Fourie
Practice Owner and Clinical Physiotherapist
Marelee Fourie is the founder and owner of Marelee Fourie Physiotherapy, where she combines her passion for movement, science, and patient-centered care to deliver personalised, evidence-based physiotherapy. With a special interest in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, ICU care, sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and palliative rehabilitation, Marelee takes a holistic approach that focuses on treating the root cause of pain and dysfunction—not just the symptoms.

She graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, and went on to complete her MSc in Physiotherapy with Distinction in 2020. Her academic foundation is further supported by a BA in Human Movement Sciences from the University of Pretoria (2009) and an internationally recognized Pilates Instructor certification from Body Arts and Science International (BASI).

Marelee founded Equi-Kinetics Pilates Studio in 2011, where she integrates Pilates as a key rehabilitation tool in her physiotherapy practice. She continues to teach weekly classes, using movement to empower clients and complement her clinical treatments.

After completing her community service at Helen Joseph Hospital in 2014, Marelee stayed on for another four years, leading ICU and respiratory outpatient services, managing surgical wards, and developing a strong interest in women’s health. She also completed a dry needling course and attended multiple ICU congresses to further enhance her clinical skills.

She later joined the Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre as a senior clinical physiotherapist, where she worked across surgical, transplant (paediatric and adult), and COVID-19 ICUs. She has also worked as a locum physiotherapist in various hospitals across Johannesburg, gaining extensive experience in both adult and paediatric ICU rehabilitation.

Marelee is a Level I and Level II Bradcliff Breathing Method practitioner, trained in the assessment and treatment of dysfunctional breathing. She is also an associate lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand and a clinical educator for 4th-year physiotherapy students. In addition, she actively contributes to the profession through her involvement with the Private Sector Committee of the South African Society of Physiotherapy.

Her warm, compassionate, and holistic approach helps patients move better, feel better, and live healthier lives. Whether you're recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or simply seeking to improve your movement, Marelee is committed to guiding you through every step of your rehabilitation journey.
Amy Weideman
Clinical Physiotherapist
Amy Weideman is a dedicated and compassionate physiotherapist who joined our team in 2024. She graduated with distinction from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and is also a BASI-certified Pilates instructor and trained BradCliff breathing practitioner. Amy has completed additional training in dry needling, equipping her to offer holistic, evidence-based care.

Amy has a special interest in cardiopulmonary and neurological rehabilitation. She works with individuals recovering from heart and lung conditions, helping them improve strength, endurance, and overall function. Her experience also includes working with patients living with neurological conditions such as strokes and Parkinson’s disease, where she focuses on improving mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Her approach is patient-centered, family-oriented, and deeply holistic. Amy believes that rehabilitation should be both effective and engaging. Her sessions are interactive, creative, and tailored to each patient’s needs and goals—always with the aim of making therapy a positive, uplifting experience.

Amy also offers home-based and frail-care physiotherapy for patients who are unable to travel to the clinic, ensuring accessible, high-quality care for everyone.
With a background in ballet and contemporary dance, Amy brings a deep understanding of body movement to her work. She’s also an avid runner and has completed several half marathons and a full marathon—giving her valuable insight into sports injuries and rehabilitation.

Outside the clinic, Amy is involved in mission work through her church, reflecting her heart for service and commitment to making a difference both professionally and personally. Her passion, empathy, and dedication make her an integral part of our practice.
Kaitlin Grobler
Clinical Physiotherapist
Kaitlin is a passionate and dedicated physiotherapist who earned her BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of the Free State in 2023. She completed her community service year in Northern KwaZulu-Natal in 2024 before relocating to Gauteng to continue her journey of helping people heal and move with confidence.

With a strong interest in sport and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, Kaitlin enjoys working with clients to overcome pain, prevent injury, and achieve their personal goals—whether in athletic performance or everyday life. She values the power of hands-on therapy and takes a personalized approach to each treatment session, ensuring care is tailored to the individual.

Kaitlin is committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. She has already completed training in strapping and athlete care and looks forward to expanding her skills further with BASI Pilates training in early 2025.
